This policy explains what personal data Artitech collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the rules of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

Who we are

Artitech is an IT services company based in Cebu and Davao, with its main office at R. Delos Cientos St., Poblacion Dos, Bansalan, Davao del Sur 8005, Philippines. For anything in this policy — including any request about your data — write to hello@artitech.ph.

For the purposes of the Data Privacy Act we are the personal information controller for the data described here.

What we collect, and why

When you send us an enquiry

Our contact form records your name, email address, phone number, company, the services you selected, your indicated budget and timeline, and your message. We use this solely to answer you and, if you become a client, to deliver the work. We also record the IP address and browser user-agent of the submission, and a visitor identifier (see cookies below), because that is what lets us detect and block automated spam.

When you subscribe to our newsletter

We store only your email address. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends immediately.

When you apply for a job

Applications record your name, email address and phone number, along with the role applied for and the same anti-spam technical details as above. We use them only to assess your application and contact you about it.

When you simply browse

We keep a first-party record of pages viewed, the referring page, and approximate timing, tied to a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser. It contains no name and no contact details. We use it to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow.

We also collect anonymous page-speed measurements (how quickly pages render and respond) so we can fix performance problems.

Something we want to be explicit about

Our staff can attach a name, a note, or a "lead" flag to a visitor record when someone identifies themselves — for example, when an enquiry arrives and we connect it to the pages that person read. When that happens, that browsing history stops being anonymous and becomes personal data about you, held under this policy and subject to every right listed below. We are telling you this plainly because it is the part visitors are least likely to expect.

Cookies this site sets

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. This site sets the following, and no others.

Strictly necessary — always set

These make the site function and cannot be switched off:

  • Session cookie — keeps your session while you use the site, and keeps staff signed in to the admin area.
  • Security token cookie — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Without it, submitting the contact form would fail.
  • Consent cookie — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask again on every page. It lasts about six months.

Analytics — first-party

  • Visitor identifier — a random value that lets us count returning visits without knowing who you are. It is also what threads a live-chat conversation together if you use chat.

Third-party analytics — only if you accept

If we have enabled them, third-party tools (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or Microsoft Clarity) may set their own cookies. These do not load unless you press Accept on the cookie notice. Until then their scripts are present on the page but deliberately inert — your browser does not run them and does not contact those companies. If you press Decline, they are never activated, and later visits do not include them at all.

What declining does and does not stop

Declining permanently prevents every third-party tag from loading. It does not stop the first-party page counting described above, which is anonymous, stays on our own servers, and is never shared. We think that distinction matters more than a simple yes/no, so we are stating it rather than burying it.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which makes the notice appear again.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

We share it only with service providers who help us operate — our web host, our email provider, and (only with your consent) the analytics providers named above. They may process data outside the Philippines; where they do, we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries — while we are in contact and for the life of any resulting engagement, then archived for the period we are required to keep business records.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
  • Job applications — for the recruitment process, and afterwards only if you agree to be kept on file.
  • Browsing records and page-speed samples — kept for a limited period and then purged.

How we protect it

Access to the admin area requires an individual account and password. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes and are never recoverable, including by us. Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and rate-limited against abuse. Bulk exports of enquiry or subscriber data are restricted to administrators rather than to every staff account.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:

  • Be informed — to know that we hold your data and why. This policy is part of how we do that.
  • Access — to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify — to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure or blocking — to have your data removed or suspended where the grounds in the Act apply.
  • Object — to refuse processing, including analytics and marketing.
  • Data portability — to receive your data in a usable electronic format.
  • Damages — to be compensated for harm caused by misuse of your data.
  • Complain — to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

To exercise any of these, email hello@artitech.ph. We will respond as promptly as we can and, where the request is straightforward, within fifteen (15) working days.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. Material changes will be highlighted here rather than made quietly.
